Review: Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

Hi everyone! Exciting review today, a product that is not even out yet! As the title suggests, today's review will be on the Urban Decay Perversion Mascara! I was sent this mascara from Urban Decay when they were doing a small giveaway for people to try it out. I was lucky enough to receive one and let me tell you I am so happy I got one! This mascara doesn't come out until July 13, 2014, but I figured I would give my thoughts on it if you were considering purchasing this mascara. It will retail for $22 and you can buy it on the Urban Decay website July 13th. I am unsure when you may purchase this in store at this time.
As always, lets see the product in action before we just into the review!

With 2 coats of mascara

According to the packaging, the product is described as:
"Get sexed up in one stroke. So intense, you might need a safe word. Perversion Mascara glides on and gets you sexy in one stroke, yet it won't quit until you say when. Like a second skin, our ultra-creamy, volumizing formula coats each lash with triple-black pigments and a deeply nourishing ingredient blend. The twisted trim on our big brush separates and defines as it lays down a generous amount of mascara-for bigger, blacker, badder lashes."
Do I think this mascara works with just one stroke? Definitely not, I don't think any mascara can do that.
Do I believe this mascara is ultra-creamy? Most definitely
Do I believe this mascara is volumizing? Oh yes!
Do I believe this mascara is pigmented? Yes!
Do I believe it separates and defines? Yes! (As long as you don't use to much, as with all mascaras)

According to the Urban Decay website, the product is described with stronger claims:
"Get bigger, blacker, badder lashes with our ultra-creamy, lengthening and volumizing mascara. Includes a deluxe sample of Subversion Lash Primer! So intense you might need a safe word, Perversion glides on and gets you sexy in one stroke. (Yet it won’t quit until you say when.) It’s insane how black it is…the purest, deepest, most intense black color imaginable.
Perversion has a creamy, full-bodied texture that’s not too dry, not too wet. This allows just the right amount of “pull” so it glides through lashes. The result: incredible control for insane lashes. Go ahead and pile on coat after coat. Want to apply more before you go out at night? No problem. Even if it’s been all day since you applied, more Perversion always means more beautiful lashes. Our formula NEVER gets brittle or clumpy.
Perversion Mascara contains Hairdensyl, a complex blend of proteins and amino acids—including marine glycogen, known to stimulate lash growth. Honey extract provides deep nourishment, sea idrolized elastine stimulates the hair follicle, and marine collagen protects.

The twisted trim on the high-tech, volumizing brush latches on to each lash to separate and define; finally, a volumizing mascara with a clean, clump-free finish. It pulls through lashes smoothly and lays down a generous amount of product. No need to wiggle the wand or maneuver it at all different angles!

If you need to apply in public, you’ll look good holding Perversion. We emblazoned our gorgeous, highly metallized black tube with a big purple “Perversion” and our tagline: “Bigger. Blacker. Badder.”
So you can see, quite a lot more claims than what I saw in the package they sent me. the only big claim they make on their website and not the packaging is that it "NEVER gets brittle or clumpy." That is definitely a claim I do not believe in.

Some interest facts about the brand and product:

  1. There are no parabens in this mascara.
  2. Urban Decay does not test on animals, according to their website

As for my thoughts on this mascara, I really like it. Trust me when I say I don't like many mascaras, but I do like this one. Most mascaras wear heavily on my upper lashes and somehow starts sticking to my bottom lashes. This mascara doesn't do that! If you use 1 coat, it separates extremely well and provides volume without clumping. It's also extremely opaque and will coat over your lashes as black and not a grey black like some mascaras do. It also applies very smoothly and combs through your lashes very well. Best part about this, it doesn't flake or smear as the day goes on. It isn't waterproof so it has held up phenomenally through the summer heat! However, this mascara is far from perfect. This mascara does not build very well. If you apply a second coat, your lashes will gain more volume, but the clumping will start. Not to mention, the crunchiness starts. I never went past 2 coats, but I imagine these effects will only get worse with more coats. But, all of these effects could be avoided with just 1 coat.

          So to summarize:
Pros:

  • Smooth application
  • Does not wear your lashes down
  • Opaque pigmentation
  • Combs through lashes well
  • Volumizes
  • Lifts lashes well
  • Doesn't flake or smear
  • Easy to remove
Cons:
  • Clumps and crunches with more than 1 application
  • Expensive
My Overall Rating: 90/100

Anyways, let me know your thoughts! Are you thinking about getting this or maybe not so much? Hopefully I could be as helpful as I can!

Until next time...

Review: Glam Glow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment

Hi everyone! Today will be my review of the Glam Glow Youthmud Tinglexfoliate Treatment. Yes, a little pricier item I am reviewing today, but I honestly think it is worth the review. You can purchase this product at the Glam Glow website or Sephora for $69 for 1.7 fluid ounces. If that is too much, you can choose to purchase the 0.5 fluid ounces size from Sephora for $19. Please keep in mind that what works for my skin may not work for you! I have combination to oily skin and it is generally not sensitive to anything.

According to the website, the product is described as:
"Designed as a 10-minute professional ‘facial in a jar’ for behind-the-scenes use in Hollywood’s Entertainment, Music, Fashion & Award industries, for immediate camera- ready glowing skin. GLAMGLOW’s mud base is from the South of France Mediterranean Sea, home to glamorous Cannes, St. Tropez & Monaco. For Men & Women, All Ages & Skin Types. Use a couple of times a week or simply when you need GLAM-tastic™ "
According to the website, the directions on this product are as followed:
"Apply a Thin Layer to Clean Face. Expect a Tingle-tastic Tightening Effect in 10 minutes or less. Remove Mask with Water in Circular Motions to exfoliate. Use Twice a Week or as often as Desired."
According to the website, the claims of the product is:

  • Leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing.
  • Activates moisturizing collagen synthesis.
  • Provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation.
  • Helps to leave skin smoother, brighter and softer.
  • Provides tighter skin texture and tighter pores.
  • Helps to provide a more youthful appearance.
  • Absorbs impurities without removing natural oils.
  • Helps to protect against free radical damage.

Do I believe it leaves skin noticeably radiant and glowing? Not really
Do I believe it activates moisturizing collagen synthesis? I have no idea lol
Do I believe it provides gentle resurfacing exfoliation? Yes!
Do I believe it helps to leave skin smoother, brighter and softer? Yes!
Do I believe it provides tighter skin texture and tighter pores? Yes!
Do I believe it helps to provide a more youthful appearance? Surprisingly yes!
Do I believe it absorbs impurities without removing natural oils? Yes!
Do I believe it helps to protect against free radical damage? I have no idea lol.

Some interesting facts about this product:

  1. This product is vegan.
  2. This product is paraben free.
  3. This product is cruelty free
As for my thoughts on this product, I absolutely love it! It is definitely worth the hype! It is probably the best face mask I have ever tried because it will actually remove those deep rooted blemishes. The pores around my nose have been clogged for months now, and no other face mask has completely cleaned out those pores except for this one. Naturally, cleaning out clogged pores is associated with smoother and softer skin. It also does tighten up those pores and makes them less noticeable. Though it pulls out all my impurities I don't feel like it dries out my skin (though I don't have dry skin, so I'm not sure if it will dry out those dry skin people out there). The most surprising effect of this mask is that it does provide a more youthful appearance. My makeup always looks 100 times better the day after I use this mask. Part of that is it gently exfoliate the skin along with pulling out your impurities. Though this face mask has many great qualities, there are a few I didn't like.
First off, I don't really notice a radiant glow after using this mask. I mean, it's not a big deal, but for Glam Glow to make a claim like that it's what I expect. However, that is not the worst thing about this mask. What I absolutely dislike about this product is the tingle. I do not have sensitive skin whatsoever, but the tingle makes it feel as if my skin is burning off. It's not to the point where it is unbearable, but I can only imagine how it will feel for those with sensitive skin.

          So to summarize:
Pros:

  • Does gently exfoliate
  • Removes impurities and clogged pores
  • Skin feels smoother and softer
  • Tightens pores
  • Provide a more youthful appearance
  • Does not dry out your skin
Cons:
  • Tingle provides a lot of discomfort
  • Does not leave skin radiantly glowing
  • Expensive
My Overall Rating: 94/100

If you have tried this product let me know your thoughts!

Until next time...

Review: Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish Gel Manicure Starter Kit

Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish Gel Manicure Starter Kit

Hi everyone! So today will be my review of the Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polish Gel Manicure Starter Kit. I was sent this from @Influenster as I was a Badge winner in one of the VoxBox programs for Sally Hansen. The starter kit comes with 1 LED Lamp, 1 Gel Base Coat, 1 Gel Nail Color, 1 Gel Top Coat, 10 Nail Cleanser Pads, Acetone Remover, Cuticle Stick, File & Buffer, and Instruction sheet. You can get this kit from Target, CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid, and basically any drugstore.

Let's see the kit before we get started!

So I used this grey polished they provided instead of the red one!

According to the website, the product is described as:
"Professional salon results at home have never been so easy. Saving you time and money. Up to 10 salon gel manicures at home up to 2 week wear.· Salon tested· Safe· No dry time · nails feel protected· Easy removal. The LED lamp will cure (set) your manicure to a solid, high-gloss finish with zero dry time."
According to the website, the claims on this product is as follows:
    • Up to 10 gel manicures per kit - great value vs. the salon
    • Up to 2 week wear
    • No chips
    • No dry time
    • Flawless mirror shine
  • s
  • s          Do I believe you can wear these for up to 2 weeks? No
  •            Do I believe there is no chipping? Yes, but you do get peeling.
  •            Do I believe there is no dry time? Well, outside of the steps yes, but there is allocated dry time embedded in the manicure routine.
  •            Do I believe it gives a flawless mirror shine? Yes
As for my thoughts on this product, I don't think it's anything special. I like that this kit comes with everything you need for 10 manicures. The first thing I foresee running out is the cleansing pads, however substituting nail polish remover will certainly do. I also like that when you run out of a part of the kit, it is sold separately, so you can replace it without buying the whole kit over. The instruction sheet is very easy to understand, and it also helps that the steps are also numbered on the products themselves. I will say it is a process to do your nails, but much less of a hassle than regular nail polish as you don't have to sit around doing nothing while you wait 20-30 mins waiting for your nail to dry. Though the kit is very well put together, I wish was the formula for the polish was too.
First thing is first, I did everything step by step to the teeth. The instructions are basically fool proof, so there is no way any error was due to user incompetence. About 5 minutes after my manicure, 3 of my gel nails lifted and I had to peel them off. Somehow, when they peeled, the gel nail was a little wet/sticky underneath. Now you might say I didn't hold them under the light for long enough, but the light is self timed, so if anything the timer should have gone for longer or I should have done a second round to be safe. Over the next few days, 2 more came off. By the time a week came around I only had 5 gel nails total and 2 were starting to peel. So for staying power, I'm not particularly impressed. As for the formula of the nails, they are quiet shining, however not as opaque as I would have hoped from Sally Hansen. I did 2 coats of the color polish on my nails and you could definitely see spots that were lighter than others. Honestly, I was not sold on this product as any other Sally Hansen regular polish performs way better than this did.

          So to summarize
          Pros:

  • Shiny coat
  • Quick dry time with the LED light
  • Kit is complete and components sold separately
  • Instructions are easy to understand
          Cons:
  • Nails peeled off less than 10 minutes after manicure
  • Polish not very opaque
  • Did not live up to claim of a 2 week life

My Overall Rating: 40/100

Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but probably not, but if I am please let me know!

Review: Influenster Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace

+Influenster @GilletteVenus #InASnap

Hi everyone! Today will be my review of the Gillette Venus Snap with Embrace. I received this product courtesy of influenster. This product retails from $9.49 to $12.99 depending on where you purchase the razor. There are also constant coupons available for Gillette in the Sunday Paper and probably online too! You can pick this up from Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, Amazon, Ulta, and any other place you find razors. As with any product I receive, all opinions are my own.

Let's see some pictures before we dig in shall we?

According to the Gillette website, the product is described as:

    • Mini handle that’s easy to grip and convenient to store
    • Embrace’s 5 blades to get virtually every hair
    • Water activated Ribbon of Moisture for a smooth glide
    • Fits any cartridge

According to the Gillette Website, the product is described as:
"Our mini razor, experience instant smoothness on-the-go with the Snap with Embrace Razor. With five curve-hugging blades and a portable compact, you’ll be ready for anything, anytime, anywhere."
Do I believe this product gives you instant smoothness on-the-go? Yes!

As for my thoughts on this product, I absolutely love it! When I first got this product, I honestly thought it could not live up to the expectations. It even said on the packaging that no shaving cream was needed and I literally laughed out loud. However, after trying this product, I am a believer. First off, this razor gave me the closest shave I have ever gotten. Thus, leaving my legs amazingly smooth. Second, the blue stuff on the razor is magical. Whatever it is, it definitely is replacing my shaving cream. My legs weren't cut or irritated from the razor, even on the first shave. The razor comes with a blue pod, which makes it perfect for traveling because your razor has somewhere to live. On top of that, the blue pod has holes for the water to drain out so your pod isn't keeping moisture and becoming gross and gunky.
Though I have many good things to say about this product, there is one con: the handle. The purpose of the handle is to make it travel friendly, however, it is a little awkward to hold. For most razors, you can grip it with your hand, but for this razor you grip it with your thumb and pointer finger. So there is some learning involved. It's not like it takes forever to get use to, but just be prepared for your shaving process to feel a little different. If the handle is bugging you, just buy the other Venus Razor with the same head (I'm pretty sure Gillette has a regular handle razor that uses the same head as this one.) Now you may be thinking, what would I go this one? First off, it's great for travel or everyday in the purse! It has its own case. Second, you don't need shaving cream! Just wet the head and you are good to go. There are have been many days where I have forgotten to shave that pesky underarm area and guess what razor I used? Yup, this one. Wet it, shave, and I am good to go! Quick and easy.

My overall rating: 90/100

If you have tired this product, I would love to know your thoughts!

Until next time...
-Cindy

Review: Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color Neon Bleached Collection

Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color
From L to R: Radiant Raspberry, Glowing Garnet, Luminous Lilac

Hi everyone! Today will be my review of the Maybelline Color Elixir Lip Color in the Neon Bleached Collection. The Neon Bleached Collection is a summer collection by Maybelline and is limited edition. The collection consist of limited edition Color Whispers, Color Tattoos, Color Elixirs, Bronzers, Blushes, Eye liners and Color Show Nail Polishes. I picked up 3 of the 6 Color Elixirs from the collection: Radiant Raspberry, Glowing Garnet, and Luminous Lilac. Radiant Raspberry is a bright pinky coral. Glowing Garnet is a bright fuschia color. Luminous Lilac is a bright lilac color with a blue undertone. You can pick these up at any retailers that have the limited edition display out. I was able to find these are Walgreens and CVS

Luminous Lilac

Glowing Garnet

Radiant Raspberry

This is what the Maybelline website says about the Color Elixirs:
"Fall under the spell of the elixir effect. Hyper-saturated colour, ulta cushiony feel. The new hypnotic lip sensation."
These are the claims of the product according to the website:
  • A trio of concentrates delivers the color of a lipstick, the cushiony care of a balm, and the glass shine of a gloss.
  • Out exclusive smoothing angora brush delivers a polished, even application and smoothing sensation to lips.
Do I believe these deliver the color of a lipstick? Pretty Close
Do I believe these deliver the cushiony care of a balm? Yes!
Do I believe these deliver the glass shine of a gloss? Yes like most.
Do I believe the brush delivers a polished, even application and smoothing sensation to the lips? Somewhat

          Some interesting facts about Maybelline:
  1. Maybelline does test on animals.
  2. As for ingredients, the actual packaging does not contain a list of ingredients nor does the website provide it. However, if the list of ingredients on the Ulta website is correct this product:
    1. Does not have parabens.
    2. Does have fragrance.
As for my thoughts on this product, I am absolutely in love!! I already love the color elixirs from the original line, but for some reason these are better than the original formula. Like the original formula, these are not sticky and comfortable to wear. They go on quite smoothly, but be careful of streaks due to the applicator. The applicator is a tear drop applicator that has a striped pattern with the stripes being long fibers. These longer fibers can cause streaking, but nothing so bad that it can't be fixed with a gentle swipe over. The pigmentation is at around a 75% (where 0% is no pigmentation and 100% is completely opaque), which is pretty decent and not high maintenance like I find a lot of lipsticks. The shine that these produce are pretty standard for lip glosses and always the first thing to fade. What separates these from the original line is the staying power and stain. These last about twice as long as the ones from the original line and leave a noticeable stain behind once they are gone. They also hold up against eating and drinking very well.

          So to summarize:
Pros:
  • Not Sticky
  • Comfortable on the lips
  • Decent pigmentation
  • Last longer than you think
  • Stains lips
Cons:
  • Applicator can cause streaks
My Overall Rating: 90/100

If you have spotted this collection I would love to know what you picked up and what you think!

Until next time...

Review: Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Hi everyone! Today will be my review on the Makeup Geek Eyeshadows! I bought these from Luvocracy because when you first sign up you get a beautiful $10 off $20 purchase. These shadows retail for $5.99 on the Makeup Geek website, but with my discount, I was able to get these shadows for $15.95 for all 4. I believe the only place you can get these shadows are the Makeup Geek Website and Luvocracy. The colors I picked up are Shimma Shimma, Cinderella, Unexpected, and Creme Brulee. Let's take a look at these before we get started!

From L to R
Shimma Shimma, Cinderella, Unexpected, Creme Brulee

Shimma Shimma

Cinderella

Unexpected

Creme Brulee

(My camera kinda washed this color out.)

According to the Makeup Geek website, the claims and facts about these eyeshadows are as followed:
  • These are all highly-pigmented – just check out the swatches!
  • These pans can be placed in empty palettes such as Z-Palettes
  • Eyeshadow pan weight is 1.8G / 0.064 oz
  • With a separate palette, you can build your own custom palettes
  • All our shadows are cruelty-free -- we do not test our products on animals
  • These eyeshadows are Talc and Paraben-Free
Do I believe these are highly pigmented? Yes

As for my thoughts on this product, I really enjoy these. From the swatches above, they don't look that impressive, but they are amazing when you put these on your eye. They aren't buttery like some higher end shadows I have like the Lorac Pro palette, however they are very easy to pick up with a brush. Because they aren't very buttery, there isn't very much fall out so you won't get shadow everywhere.  They blend so well you hardly have to blend at all. (I hate blending, so this factor alone makes me absolutely love these shadows). I find that these shadows stay all day with primer and without primer they do last a few hours (even the shimmer ones) before fading (I believe more than the average shadow would). There are so many colors to choose from and a nice mixture of matte, shimmer, and glittery shadows. Overall I think these are definitely worth the hype!

My Overall Rating: 98/100

If you have any Makeup Geek Shadows I would love to know if you love them as much as I do!

Until next time...

Review: Maybelline Baby Lips Pink'd Collection

Maybelline Baby Lips Mad for Magenta (L) and Rose Rush (R)

Hi everyone! So you all know my obsession with the Maybelline Baby Lips so when they released the Pink'd collection for summer I had to go for it! I grab 2 colors from the line (I believe there is 5 total), Mad for Magenta (#115) and Rose Rush (#120). Mad for Magenta is a pale pink and Rose Rush is a coral red color. These retail for around $3-$4 at the drugstore. I picked these up for $2.57 at Walgreens when all Maybelline cosmetics were $2 off retail price. Please keep in mind these are limited edition so I would go out at pick them up sooner rather than later. I have seen these at Walgreens and Ulta.
As always lets take a look before we dive right in!

Mad for Magenta

Rose Rush

The packaging says that this was made with Shea butter and Vitamin E. It also says 8hr moisture. (It doesn't actually say the words "provides 8hr moisture," just 8hr moisture. I am assuming they are letting the consumer infer that it provides 8 hr moisture.

          The packaging claims that:
88% of people had smoother lips
82% of people has less dry lips
70% of people had suppler lips
83% of people had better looking lips
*These claims are based on self evaluation of a panel of people after 1 week.

Do I agree this gave me smoother lips? Most definitely
Do I agree this gave me less dry lips? Yes!
Do I agree this gave me suppler lips? Slightly
Do I agree this gave me better looking lips? Yes!

Some interesting facts about this product:
  1. There are no parabens.
  2. There is perfume in this product.
  3. Maybelline does test on animals
As for my thoughts on this product, I really enjoy these since they work exactly like the original baby lips line. For some people, baby lips do nothing for their lips, but for me these work wonders. My lips always feel smoother and less dry when I use these. It applies very smoothly and last a good 1-2 hour before wearing off. Even when they do wear off, I'm always left with a slight stain. However, I am slightly disappointed with this line for 2 reasons. One being, the pigmentation is not quite there as past baby lips. Though, I guess it makes it quite easy to reapply without a mirror. My second disappoint is with the color range. There are 5 colors in this line, 1 is complete clear (so I have heard), and 3 remind me of permanent baby colors. Rose Rush is very similar to a berry pink (Pink Shock) in the Electro collection. The berry color in this line reminds me of a berry color (Berry Soft) in the Dr. Rescue line (this is why I did not pick it up). The bright pink color reminds me of the bright pink (Pink Punch) in the original permanent collection of Baby Lips. So if you are unable to pick these colors up, do know that there may already exist similar/dupe-able colors in the permanent line.

Rose Rush

Pink Shock (M)
Do you see the similarity?

My Overall Rating: 90/100

If you got your hands on these, let me know your thoughts! Are they what you expected?

Until next time...

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Lipstick

Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Lipsticks

This is the second part of my Rimmel lipstick reviews! This will be on the Rimmel Lasting Finish Matte by Kate Lipstick. I have 3 colors; 103, 104, and 105. (I know, no names!!!) Though they look very similar in this picture, they are different colors in real life. 103 is a bright pink. 104 is a berry color. 105 is a coral nude. However, since they are very similar in color (as you will see from the swatch) I wouldn't recommend picking all 3 up, maybe just your favorite out of these 3. Depending on where you pick these lipsticks up, they retail from $4.99 to $5.49. You can sometimes get these buy 1 get 1 50% at Rite Aid, Walgreens,  CVS, or Ulta.

Let's take a look at the swatches before we dig in!
103, 104, 105

According to the Rimmel London website, the product is described as:
"Be Iconic - Make the Ordinary Extraordinary Sumptuously Rich Matte Colour with a sublime comfort. Ruby Powder enriched formula. Intense velvet colour all day!"
Do I believe this product is comfortable? Pretty much
Do I believe I get intense velvet colour all day? A little

Some interesting facts about this product:
  1. There is Fragrance in this product.
  2. Rimmel does test on animals.
  3. There are no parabens in this lipstick.
As for my thoughts on this product, I really like the price point considering it is a few dollars cheaper than  your other drugstore brands like Maybelline, Loreal, Covergirl, and Revlon. I also love how opaque the color is. One swipe, and your lips are coated with this lipstick. These lipsticks (or at least the ones I own) are genuinely matte with no shimmer, glitter, or shine. However, due to the fact they are matte, they do highlight dry and/or cracked lips. I would recommend exfoliating and moisturizing before applying these lipsticks. If you are in a hurry and don't have the time or patience to exfoliate or moisturize, put a gloss on top! Not just any gloss, a gloss that will just gloss over imperfections and not cling to the dry spots too! These last a good few hours before wearing off, and will still linger for the rest of the day with less intensity. Overall these are pretty decent for the price!

My Overall Rating: 85/100

If you have tried these, I would love to know your thoughts!

Review: Sally Girl Eye Shadow Connecting Compacts

Sally Girl Eyeshadow Connecting Compacts

Hi everyone! I know it's been a while. I accidentally deleted all the pictures I had on my computer and on top of that I had to upgrade my Windows XP to Windows 7. Anyways, today I come with an exciting review! It would be on the Sally Girl Eye Shadow Connecting Compacts. Ever since the Revlon Shadow Links hit the market, everyone has been talking about how they fail to rival their very similar relative Sally Girl Eye Shadow Connecting Compacts. Today, we are here to see if this claim is true. If you all remember, I was a little disappointed with the Revlon Shadow Link (you can see my review here). So we shall see how these Sally Girl Shadows compare.
The 3 colors I picked up were Mauve, Brick, and Chocolate. They retail for $0.99 at Sally Beauty Supply, but I was about to pick up Chocolate for $0.69 because it was on clearance. I believe you can only buy these at Sally Beauty Supply. So enough chit chat, lets take a closer look.

Sally Girl Eyeshadow in Mauve

Sally Girl Eyeshadow in Brick

Sally Girl Eyeshadow in Chocoalte

From what I have gathered from the internet, or lack there of, there is no official Sally Girl website (or at least I can't find it). However, I was able to gather some information for the Sally Beauty Supply website.
The claims of this product as stated from the Sally Beauty Supply website are:
  • Silky Texture
  • Comes in 48 Shades
  • These Sally Girl eye shadows come in connecting compacts, so you can create your own personalized color palette!
Do I believe these have a silky texture? Most definitely!

Some interesting facts about this product:
  1. There are no parabens in this product.
  2. I believe Sally Girl does not test on animals based on this post here
As for my thoughts on this product, I am absolutely in love with it!!! They are extremely pigmented and creamy to the touch. From the swatches they look decent, but these definitely look much better on the eye than they are swatched. They blend so easy and effortlessly that you may think these are high end shadows. The last a good few hours on the lid without primer, but with primer these will go all day easily! Honestly, I do think these shadows are a much better quality than the Revlon Shadow Links and if you were to buy one, I recommend picking up the Sally Girl Eye Shadows. However, I will say the colors I have are all from a similar range and color palette and that other shadows that are lighter or of different colors may not perform the same. Also, from what I saw, there are very few mattes in the collection and mostly satin and shimmery finishes. So for you matte fans out there, this may not be the collection for you.

My Overall Rating: 95/100

If you have tried these shadows out, I would love to know your thoughts! Do you think they are worth it?

Until next time...
