Review: KISS Looks So Natural Lashes

KISS Looks So Natural Lashes in Flirty

Hi everyone! Today, I come to you with a very exciting post. This will be my review of the KISS Looks So Natural Lashes. I received these courtesy of influenster in my J'Adore VoxBox. Thanks +Influenster and +KissProductsInc for sending me #KISSLashes. There are 6 different styles in this line, and the one I received are called Flirty. Flirty is a very full set of lashes that slightly flare out in the middle than the ends, and by the looks of it, the thickest pair of lashes in the line. According to this blog post, looks like these will retail for around $3.99 for one pair, but it does come with it's own glue! I have not been able to find these online or in my local drugstores, but I am sure this will be available in the coming weeks. So before we jump in, lets take a look at the product shall we?

KISS Eyelash Adhesive

According to the KISS website, this is what they say about the product:
"Revolutionary Tapered End Technology delivers real-like lashes that blend seamlessly with    your own lashes. 97% of women who wore these lashes felt the difference—you’ll forget    you’re wearing them!"
The claims on the packaging are:
  • Light and soft as a feather
  • Feels like your own lashes
Do I feel these lashes blend seamlessly with my own lashes? A little
Do I feel I forget I am wearing these lashes? Well, I almost went to bed with them so yes!
Do I feel these are light and soft as a feather? Yes, at least lighter than the other lashes I have tried
Do I feel like these feel like my own lashes? No

As for my thoughts on the product, I really do like these lashes. When I first put them on, I felt they were slightly heavy, but once the glue dried completely and the lashes settled, I didn't feel like I have lashes on. They are very comfortable to wear due to how light and soft they are. They are easy to maneuver so that they can fit the natural curve of your eye. I used the glue the lashes came with, and let me tell you, that glue is the craziest lash glue I have seen. It looks white, but if you look closer, it's dual chrome with blue. (This tripped me out because when I applied the glue to the lashes it came off blue-ish green and I thought it may have been the glue taking off the color in the lashes and turning that color.) It's also dries crazy fast. The instructions say to wait 30 seconds, but I felt like the glue dried in about 15-20 seconds. However, as much as I love these lashes, there are a few things I dislike about them as well.
First off, I didn't like that these lashes had a thick lash band. From the picture above, you can see that these lashes have a thick lash band which makes it hard to camouflage them into your lashes. Secondly, these lashes don't look natural. When I first put these on my boyfriend noticed right away I was wearing fake lashes. How could he tell? He said they were unnaturally glossy, which I agree. When the light hits these lashes, there is an obvious glare/shine you can see off of them that my normal lashes don't have. On top of that, what I love most about these lashes is actually why they look unnatural on me; these are full lashes. My lashes are sparse while the KISS Looks So Natural Lashes are thick. There is a dramatic difference between my lashes and these lashes. So if you have sparse lashes, these will not look natural on you because you naturally don't have thick lashes. Don't believe me? See for yourself:

Right side: normal lashes, Left side: KISS lashes

As you can see, these lashes are dramatic! If you have sparse lashes like me, these would be great for a date or a night out on the town! Actually, I take it back, a date wouldn't be a great idea if your boyfriend is like mine and freaked out that I had "fake body parts" on my eye lids. Any how, I love that these take my look from good to glam! However, the key to this look is following the directions. I can't imagine not following the directions on the package leading to a great look.

So to summarize:
Pros:
  • Very comfortable to wear
  • Feels soft
  • Easy to move and maneuver
  • Comes with glue
  • Glue dries fairly fast
Cons:
  • Does not look natural, you can tell I have fake lashes on
  • Thick lash band
My Overall Rating: 85/100

If you have tried these lashes, let me know your thoughts!

February Beauty Favorites!

Hi everyone! Another month gone! Where has the time gone!! Not too many favorites this month because I have been trying and switching between so many new products. So keep a look out for next month favorites, there will probably be a lot more products in the favorites. Anyways, I hope you enjoy!

This is probably the best blog sale purchase I have ever made. I don't have swatches because swatches would only be for the 3 colors and not of the product as a whole. However, I can assure you it gives you a beautiful radiant glow.

This was such a pleasant surprise love. The consistency is so strange, but so intriguing! A cream to powder that will give you a nice invisible contour. It enhances your shadow without showing everyone a brown streak down your cheek.

Of all the eyeliners I try, this is by far the best liner I have ever tried! It takes a minute to set, but once it's set, it does not move!!! No smudging, running, or smearing! It's also extremely black, and will stay extremely black even if you line over shimmer or glittery eyeshadows.

I have been loving this palette for on the go! The top 3 colors make a quick neutral eye. The shadows are so soft and buttery that its a breeze to apply, blend, and be on the go!

A closer look at the top left color, it's a shimmery pinky nude, but you can't see it past the shimmer.

What can I say, this is my ultimate love. All the colors I could ever want is in this palette. The shadows themselves are outstanding! Like the Smashbox shadows, these shadows are soft, buttery and so very easy to work with! I love this so much that I must mention my all-time favorite colors I have been using non-stop this month!

Let's start with nude and champagne! Both very shimmery colors. Nude is more of a shimmery white with a hint of pink and champagne is a shimmery cream color. These are great all over the lid colors!

Next we have LT. Bronze and Pewter. LT. Bronze is another great all over the lid color, but unlike Nude and Champagne its a gold like finely milled shimmer that gives your eye the perfect glow without screaming "I have shimmer in me!" Pewter is a nice shimmery brown that's great for deepening the outer corner.

Next, 2 of my favorite matte crease colors! Mauve is a cool muted purple and Sable is a milk chocolate brown. Both are great for the crease. For a cool tone look use Mauve and for a warm tone look use Sable.

Finally, Cream, the one eyeshadow I use every time I use this palette! It's perfect for highlighting your brow bone because you can never put too much. :)

Maybelline ColorSensational Lip Color from The Vivids Collection and The Buffs Collection
My 2 favorite lipsticks at the moment! I wasn't too into Maybelline lipsticks because the one I had before did not apply well, but these are definitely a higher caliber.

I admit, this is a very bright pink lip color, but it just screams Spring! I goes on very smooth and last for so very long. It also stains your lip which is a pleasant bonus!

Ever since I saw swatches of this on youtube I had to have it! It's a beautiful pinky nude that I think may be a great universal nude lipstick.

This goes on after every shower! Why? First, moisturizing is good for the skin. Second, it smells great, and who doesn't want to go to bed smelling great?

So for the nights I don't shower, this product goes in my hair the next morning. Spray it in your hair, let it sit for a minute, and TA DA you are good to go with refreshed hair. It also gives you some volume, so if you find your hair slightly flat, this can help with that.

I know, not very many this month, but there is always next month! If you have some monthly favorites I would love it if you shared.

Until next time...

Potential Project Pan?

Hi everyone! As you may guess from the title, I could potentially be doing a project pan! However, most project pans come with a "no buy" clause, and "no buy" is extremely hard for me! So maybe I'll just try to use up more products and slow my buying intake? Well, whatever I decide, I'll be showing you the products I have hit pan or are extremely close to finishing. The goal is that these will make it into my next empties post!!!

Revlon Colorstay Aqua in Translucent
(I believe the link is to the same product, just different packaging)

Almay Brown Eyes Trio
(So this is such an old item that Almay does not make this exact one anymore. However there is an Almay Eyeshadow Trio Smokey in Smokey Brown that is VERY similar)

Anyways, wish me luck! If you find that these do not make it to my next empties post, you should definitely give me a good yelling for it. If you have been working on project pan or have done it, I would love to hear about it! Leave it in the comments below. :)

Until next time...
