Review: L'oocitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream

#ineedshea #RefreshVoxBox +Influenster +L'Occitane en Provence

Hi everyone! Today I am here with my review of the L'oocitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream. I must say I was sent this product from +Influenster in my #RefreshVoxBox for testing purposes. However, all opinions are my own.

I was sent a sample size of the L'oocitane Shea Butter Light Comforting Cream, but a regular size is 1.7 ounces for $28 on the L'Oocitane website. According to the website, the product is described as:
"The Light Shea Butter Comforting Cream, with its fine and non-greasy texture, is formulated with 5% shea butter to answer the essential needs of normal to combination skin, including sensitive skin types. Lastingly moisturized (48h)**, skin is supple and soft. As protected against external aggressions, skin stays comfortable all day long.
In Burkina Faso, women produce shea butter by hand. While one might expect this technique to weaken and damage the skin, in reality it leaves it incredibly soft. L'OCCITANE discovered that the shea butter produced in Burkina Faso using traditional methods is particularly rich in omega 6 and karitene. These molecules have exceptional properties and help to moisturize, nourish and give extra protection to the skin every day. "
To summarize these are the claims of the product:
  • Lasting moisture
  • Skin is supple and soft
  • Skin stays comfortable
Do I believe it provides lasting moisture? Yes!
Do I believe it leaves skin supple and soft? Yes!
Do I believe skin stays comfortable? Yes!

When I first got this product, I was so excited to try it, yet a bit skeptical. For most skin products, I don't really notice a difference, but I keep using them because I bought it. With this product, the night after I used it, I noticed a HUGE difference! My skin was extremely hydrated in the morning. It felt replenished, fresh, and supple! It felt soft, and a tad glowy as well. It's not greasy, and doesn't make my combo oily skin more oily. However, if you have extremely oily skin, I'm not sure it this product is for you. I'm also not sure about the 48 hour moisture claim. If I wash my face, I definitely lose some moisture in my skin. Overall, a great product!

My Overall Rating: 95/100
